INFORMATION: Antibody 53-6.72 binds to the alpha subunit of murine CD8 for all mouse strains tested. It is a useful tool for assessing murine CD8a containing recombinant proteins.

BUFFER: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 5% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% NaN₃ (as a preservative).

PRODUCTION: Protein G purified antibody from tissue culture supernatant was conjugated to R-Phycoerythrin through a sulfo-ester linkage. Unconjugated antibody was removed using size exclusion chromatography. Antibody conjugate is at 0.5 mg/ml with a Fluorescein/IgG molar ratio of 6.9.

PERFORMANCE: Reagent was tested as a 2^o staining reagent for use with CD8 alpha containing recombinant fusion proteins. Optimal signal was observed when 5 x 10⁵ cells per tube were incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ml of anti-mouse CD8 alpha/FITC at a dilution factor of 1:50. Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed using a BD FACS Calibur. (11-304)
