INFORMATION: Immunoglobulin expressed by the mouse plasmacytoma MOPC 31C is an IgG1k isotype of unknown specificity. It is used as a negative control when working with human cells.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at 2 - 5^oC. Freeze/thawing not recommended.

BUFFER: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 5% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% NaN₃ (as a preservative).

PRODUCTION: Antibody from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant was Protein A purified to >95% mouse immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE (<1% bovine immunoglobulin), and reacted with NHS-Biotin. Unconjugated Biotin was removed from conjugate using a desalting column.

PERFORMANCE: Mouse IgG1/Biotin was tested as a negative control in Flow cytometry at 5 mg/ml using Streptavidin R-Phycoerythrin (Catalog #253-050) as a 2^o reagent. All cells tested failed to stain or display a significant mean shift above a buffer background.

Cells tested: Human PBL, HPB-MLT, Nalm-6, and HEL (cells expressing Fc receptors were pre-blocked with human IgG). (11-181)
